Vases, planters and accents are all weathered in texture. Walnut is the key color palette, adding bronzes, coppers and blackened steel. The main dining area will largely be be hidden behind the existing and unchanged atrium foliage. From the casino angle, visitors can peek over a five-foot, planked walnut fence to spy the lounge. A digital menu board will entice the gamblers. A main dining room with the primary entrance in the hotel lobby is unchanged from Kokomo's days and a spacious lounge area with a 20 stool bar, accessible from the casino floor. The restaurant effectively becomes two visually separate, but physically connected sections. The 8,163-square-foot space will receive a $1 million makeover. Interior details were first reported by VegasTripping and confirm new specifics revealed to Eater Vegas of Colicchio's steakhouse replacement for the former Kokomo's seafood and steak restaurant. Top Chef judge Tom Colicchio's Heritage Steak at the Mirage will feature a separate lounge, walls created with split wood logs, a private room in a glass wine vault and art from an old friend. Good gambling across the street at Imperial Palace too! Lots to do in the area, which is great. Decent casino.and not as smokey as some others. Secret Garden was a waste of $30 for the 2 of us, so if you want to go, you may want to look for coupons so you are not too disappointed. Bought some products on sale at the spa too.good stuff. This is a very pricey salon (but very nice), so the Groupon was a good idea. ![]() Carnegie's service was better.as was the small coffee shops (blenz?). The service in the House of Blues was terrible unfortunately.as was the Pizza place. The only downsides were: no mini fridge or microwave, our room was a mile from the elevator, and the doors make quite a bit of noise when closing (I guess I am somewhat of a light sleeper though). The room had awesome decor, a great view, comfy bed, and a fabulous bathroom with decent toiletries. We were upgraded to a King Tower Deluxe room on the 25th floor. Overall, I love this hotel and recommend! The concierge staff seemed to be more concerned with whatever they were texting on their phones, (one would expect someone a little older to be a concierge). The Christmas decorations are up and are breathtakingly beautiful. I would strongly recommend eating at Kokomo's. Not sure why we chose that for our meal but it was good! California Pizza kitchen was consistant for that chain. I expect a little more when I stay somewhere of this quality. I developed a horrible sinus infection due to the cigarette smoke that was in the casino. The only complaint that I had is that the hotel doesn't seem to be very well ventilated. This doesn't reflect on the Mirage hotel in general though. Nobody offered to help with anything and ignored us when we tried to get their attention. Now, the women who work at the Mirage gift shop were beyone rude. We had the best food we have had in years at Kokomo's. The host/wait staff at Kokomo's restaurant went above and beyond to make our dinner special. The housekeeping staff was more than accommodating. The suite was fabulous and left nothing to be desired. This was pretty good considering we got a low rate with a travel agent to begin with. This time we asked for an upgrade to a suite and were given a two bedroom suite for an extra 150.00 a night. The first time I was lucky enough to have stayed in one of the villas. This is the second time I have stayed at Mirage. ![]()
